Bounce Checkby BABAV Start free

What happens when you check an address

Bounce Check runs a set of quick public checks on the address and its domain. Nothing is sent to the person, and the result reads in plain English.

Paste the address

Type or paste one email from your list or CRM into the box.

We run the checks

The format, the domain and its mail servers are looked up in a few seconds.

Read the verdict

You get one of four answers: looks OK, risky, invalid or unknown, with a short list of reasons.

Format, domain and mail servers

First it checks that the address is written correctly. Then it confirms the domain exists and has MX records, which are the mail servers that accept email for it. It also names the mailbox provider when it can, such as Google.

Throwaway, shared and typo addresses

The domain is compared against a list of disposable inbox services, and the name part against common role inboxes like sales@ or info@. Misspellings of big providers are caught and a corrected address is suggested.

An honest catch-all hint

Some business domains accept mail for any name, so a send that does not bounce still may not reach a person. Bounce Check tells you when that is possible. It never claims an address is proven real, because only a direct mailbox test can prove that.
